While a welder is busy at his work, sparks can smoulder into his skin. This can in turn cause serious damage to his skin. One can later on suffer from blisters as well as peeled skin because of carelessness. In welding environment, welder also is exposed to ultraviolet rays as well as infrared rays. These rays can cause skin burns, which are very painful. That is why, in welding work, one should never wear shirts with short sleeves.
